First, do no harm. We understand the importance of safety. Both patients and staff need to be aware and on the look out for signs and symptoms that contradict exercise and suggest a patient may need medical attention. In order to accomplish this we must educate patients as to these signs and symptoms. We also must reinforce you should never ignore any of these symptoms as is often the case in individuals that are hoping that it is not something to be alarmed about. This is a critical mistake. It can be a deadly mistake.
Review the topics in this lesson and be sure to know the signs and symptoms. There are signs and symptoms you, as the patients can spot. If you experience any of these you are responsible to bring this to the attention of the staff immediately.
